Timeline
IU scholarships are competitive. Students who have submitted a complete application for admission by November 1 of their senior year receive maximum consideration for academic scholarships. While IU scholarships have a variety of dates and deadlines, there are some common dates that are important for consideration.
Priority date for admission and maximum scholarship consideration. Students whose applications for admission are completed after November 1 may be considered for merit scholarships based on available funds at that time.
While November 1 is the freshman priority date for maximum merit scholarship consideration, we will continue to award Automatic Academic Scholarships based on available funding. We are still awarding Automatic Academic Scholarships at this time.
Based on available funds, students may submit updated SAT or ACT scores by this date for reconsideration of Automatic Academic Scholarships.
Date the FAFSA needs to be submitted for need-based financial aid consideration. All students are encouraged to file a FAFSA.
Date the IU enrollment deposit is due indicating a student’s intent to attend Indiana University.
